Bridging Allowance
A Bridging allowance is for all unemployed under 18s who have worked since the child benefit period ended, and for all unemployed under 18s who are disabled. Bridging Allowance is available from the 1st Monday in January for 8 weeks in any one year - £15.00.
To be eligible for this allowance you must have had a job or training (one days babysitting, building, retail etc will do!)
You must have applied for jobs or training.
To apply for Bridging allowance phone your local Jobcentre and they will give you the relevant information.
