Whats on at The Spot?

On Monday's from 7pm - 9pm there is a youth club for young people aged 13+ (year 9). In the past activities have included sports (badminton, table tennis, football, tennis, basketball, trampoling and rounders), arts and crafts, discussions, trips away, team games and media projects.

On Tuesday's youth workers from Sandhurst can be found at the recreation ground in a large silver double decker bus where young people can drop in, take part in activities and talk to youth workers.

On Tuesday's we run courses from 7pm - 9pm which are generally open to young people aged 13+. Currently we run 1 or 2 babysitting courses per year to which young people 14+ are able to attend. We cover rights and responsibilities, child development, basic care, first aid, safety in the home and dealing with difficult situations. Other courses are available depending on demand from young people.

On Thursday's there is an after school club from 3pm to 5pm which is open to all young people aged 13 + where activities have included table tennis, pool, Wii tournaments and members are currently aiming towards completing a Berkshire award for participation in the activities on offer.

On Thursday's from 7pm to 9pm there is a youth club for young people aged 14+ (year 9 and 10). In the past activities have included issue based discussions, activities and food from different cultures ending in a day trip to France, members have also taken part in a midnight ice skate at Alexandra palace in London, moped training course, trampolining course as well as cricket and hair and beauty workshops

On Friday's there is a rotating provision of activities for youth people  - every other Friday there is a youth club open to anyone 11+ provided by a local partner organisation. Also there will be a monthly film night run by volunteers from the area and we are hoping to set up a music night on the final Friday of the month and we are looking for bands that are willing to play for us.
