Children and young people have certain rights and you need to find out what they are.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is a law agreed by 197 countries, including the UK, on what every child and young person under 18 has the right to. The law states that the child’s views must always be taken into account and that the child’s best interests must be the most important issue. All rights apply to all children and young people and relate to education, health, standards of living, the environment, protection and separation.
