Self Harm

Self harm is when someone deliberately hurts themselves. It can take a number of forms, like cutting, scratching, or burning their skin. There are lots of reasons why some young people might self harm; it could be as a way of dealing with the pressures of everyday life.

The National Children’s Bureau have a really good website for you to get information, advice and support about self harming;

But don’t forget if you want to talk to someone if you are feeling worried or upset you can always talk to Connexions, the Samaritans, or Youthline.
