Youth council

Want your voice to be heard about the things that matter to you and your friends? Then Bracknell Forest Youth Council is the thing to join. We need more young people to become involved, as it is vital that young people have a say on local services and issues that affect us.

The Youth Council has been running since 2001.  Young People aged 11-19 run the committee with the aim to improve the Bracknell Forest area for all young people.

We are supported by youth workers and funded by Bracknell Forest Council Youth Service.

We liaise with council members through boards and committees and have opportunities to work one to one with key members in the council.  This gives us a great opportunity to get our voices heard by the people with the power to change things.

We are involved with many different events, programmes and residential trips throughout the year, including working with the United Kingdom Youth Parliament and attending the annual debate in the House of Commons, and regular conventions.

Benefits of being a member (as well as the fun stuff):

  • experience
  • improve your CV
  • accreditations

We meet on a Monday at Coopers Hill Youth and Community Centre 4:30-6.30pm.
