The Spot Youth Centre provides a range of activities for young people aged 11 to 19 in the Sandhurst area.
We have a large area suitable for playing team games, pool and table tennis. It can also be used as a performance space
We have a coffee bar area that is great for small group work and relaxing with the Xbox or Wii.
The project room is suitable for small groups. It is used for arts and crafts, music production and as a practice space.
We also have a small but functional music studio.
The centre is fully accessible and has wheelchair access and disabled facilities within the building.
We run activities such as team challenges, performing arts and music workshops, sports activities, computer projects, discussions and quizzes depending on the age group attending. Activities are designed following discussion with the youth club members and the programme is planned on a termly basis.
Open to anyone with an interest in performing arts, the group is split into two, they work on singing acting and dancing. This group put on two shows a year.
Youth workers plan a termly programme depending on the interests of the young people attending, we are currently running a music project focussing on song writing and performing.
