Youth Service Babysitting Course


What is a Babysitting Course?


This is a 3 day intensive training programme designed to provide a basic foundation for potential babysitters in subjects such as home safety, basic care, accident prevention, first aid, child protection etc.

The course is designed on material and knowledge gained from the previous courses, and in co-operation with the Red Cross. Participants will be awarded with a Bracknell Forest Council Babysitting certificate.


Who is it for?


The course is open to boys and girls aged 14 years and above.


When is it?


The course will be held at NRG at Coopers Hill on 25th, 26th, 27th July 2017,   10am – 4pm. You must attend all the sessions in order to be awarded with a certificate.


How much does it cost?


The course will be subsidised by the Bracknell Forest Council Youth Service in order to keep the cost to the young people at a reasonable level. In total the whole course will cost £20.00


What is involved in the course?


The course will cover first aid training, what makes a good babysitter, the rights of the family and the babysitter, accident prevention, fire hazards in the home, childcare and child protection.
