The Bracknell Forest Anti-Bullying Strategy and Action Plan has been developed following wide consultation with professionals and young people in the Borough and was approved for final formal consultation in February 2008 by the Local Safeguarding Children Board. It is designed to direct Anti-Bullying work in the Borough until 2010 and will be reviewed annually.
The document reflects a variety of views and draws on a number of sources eg guidance from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF); comments from young people in response to surveys; strategy documents used in other Local Authorities and comments from working groups at the Anti-Bullying training conference in March 2007. In addition we consulted with colleagues at the S.E. Regional Group of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, to which we are affiliated.
All comments received will be considered by the Anti-Bullying Group and a final version of the Strategy and Action Plan prepared and submitted to the Local Safeguarding Children Board before publication and launch in Autumn 2008.
