Safe….No it’s not just a place to keep money and stuff. Feeling safe is a right you have, when you are out and about where you live. So here’s our ideas about how to keep safe and get advice if you are worried about one of your mates.
When people are asked what concerns them most about their neighbourhood, crime & disorder is often near the top of the list. Of course crime takes place in Bracknell as, sadly, it does everywhere. However in Bracknell Forest the number of reported crimes is much lower than many towns of a similar size. Of the crimes that do take place, the vast majority are minor in nature but it is the few nasty or serious crimes that make the news.
Thames Valley Police are committed to working with the community to make people feel safer by reducing crime. Where crimes are committed, it is the job of the police to bring the offenders to justice. We can all help reduce crime by taking a few simple precautions to protect each other, ourselves and our property. There is some advice on how to do this on this web site but you can also contact Bracknell police using the Neighbourhood policing link in the hotlinks section on the right. You can also contact the Bracknell Forest Safer Communities team using the details in the contacts box on the right.
